EVALUATING & PROJECTING EACH TOOL: HITTING

HITTING is the key stone when projecting a position player, this is the tool that will likely tell us his future ceiling.

While evaluating a young player on his Hitting, this are some of the things to watch: 

* How much contact the player makes.

* Type of contact (line drives, fly balls, ground balls, pop ups).

* How hard the player hits the ball.

* Where are those balls going (LF - CF - RF)

When Projecting a hitter you should consider:

* Bat Speed.

* Fluency and looseness of the mechanics.

* Knowledge of the strike zone and the ability to make adjustment.
